Promotion for Mervyn Storey is deserved
I was delighted to learn that the new first minister, Arlene Foster, has appointed my good friend and party colleague, Mervyn Storey MLA, as minister of finance and personnel in the Northern Ireland Executive.
Mervyn has been a dedicated DUP representative for North Antrim in the assembly for many years and has also served with distinction as minister for social development.
I have no doubt that he will be more than capable of handling the challenges of his new and demanding portfolio in this important period ahead of the next assembly election.
He now has a key ministerial role and I wish him well.
