Put the border in European Union territory — that is, the Republic of Ireland
A letter from Dr JE Hazlett Lynch:
Surely, there is a simple, straightforward solution to the EU-created problem, namely, the protocol.
If they want to have border checks, that’s fine and understandable.
Let the EU set up these checks within its own territory, that is, in the Republic of Ireland — a simple, straightforward solution to what has become a divisive issue.
I am amazed that so-called intelligent people could not see this!
Or, perhaps, there is another game in town?
JE Hazlett Lynch (Rev Dr), Co Londonderry
