Shouldest thou be complicit in an abomination?

'Shouldest thou help the ungodly and love them that hate the Lord?' (2 Chronicles 19:2).

This was the rebuke delivered by the prophet to one of the ancient kings of Israel.

As we near an Assembly election such would still be an appropriate question to be asked of DUP candidates, particularly those members of the Free Presbyterian church.

To paraphrase the prophet, we could ask, shouldest thou join in affinity with the terrorists of IRA/SF? Shouldest thou sustain in government the representatives of an armed and active terrorist organisation? Shouldest thou be yoked to men who have sat (and in all likelihood still sit) on the wicked IRA army council presiding over countless atrocities and massacres?

Or perhaps the question could be asked, shouldest thou remain members of an executive/assembly which is responsible for funding and promoting the unholy and wicked lifestyle known as homosexuality?

Shouldest thou be complicit in the promotion and support of what the Bible declares to be an abomination? Such are the questions which I would encourage all Protestants to ask of those canvassing for votes in the coming weeks and months.
