Soul lives forever in heaven or hell
The letter from SH from North Antrim ('˜I hope the republican murderers rot in hell,' Nov 10) agreeing with Stephen Gault's comments on no forgiveness for the killers of Stephen Gault's father, gives an indication I believe of most ordinary people's views on the terrorists who carried out their murder campaign for so many years.

While I personally do not desire anyone to go to hell for all eternity, I must point out an inaccuracy in SH’s Email.
No-one in hell will rot in hell for that would mean there would be no awareness that you are in hell and also would mean there would be no suffering or knowledge of pain in hell.
Revelation Chapter 21, verse 7 ‘He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son’
Verse 8 ‘But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death’

Every human being has a living soul which never dies.
At the time of our death the soul leaves the body and lives forever in heaven or hell. The soul of the individual then is either tormented in hell for all eternity or at peace in heaven with God’s people for ever more.
