The worrying rise in dissident terror

Hardly a day passes without a bomb type incident some being a hoax, some are relatively simple devices others much more technically sophisticated.

Each incident brings its own risks and dangers. The explosive device must be examined at close range by Bomb Disposal Engineers with the potential of an officer being severely injured or a potential fatality.

These (bomb squad) officers are the unsung heroes in the fight against terrorism and many have paid with their lives. The law abiding public owes these officers a debt of gratitude that we can probably never repay; but we must say a heartfelt thank you.
