Over third of population listen to BBC NI radio

More than a third of the Northern Irish population listen to Radio Ulster or Radio Foyle each week, according to fresh figures.

According to the RAJAR (Radio Joint Audio Research) figures for the first quarter of the year, they had “an average weekly reach of 546,000 listeners – approximately 36.8 per cent of the population (aged 15 plus)” – the highest listenership in the country.

The figure is 22,000 higher than the same time last year.
