The Department of Health made the statement on Twitter.

Health Minister Robin Swann said: “Sadly another nine people have lost their lives to Covid-19.

“We must never forget that behind every death there are families and friends, so let me convey my deepest sympathies to them”,

Yesterday the Department of Health reported that 207 people had died with coronavirus - so today’s deaths bring the total to 216.

The Department of Health Covid-19 dashboard that was advertised as a go-to site for the public is today not working and has been taken down.

We will bring statistics from the site as soon as we get them.
