Coronavirus NI: 1,322 people now dead after testing positive for COVID-19 - 495 people in our hospitals and 34 fighting for lives in ICU - 1,929 more infections - 107 patients with COVID-19 in NI Care homes

This brings the death toll here to 1,322.

Nine people died within the last 24 hours and the other two outside that period.

Meanwhile another 1,929 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the last 24 hours - and 8,228 people confirmed with infection in the last 7 days.

A total of 72,834 people have now tested positive in NI.

The latest dashboard reveals tat there are now 495 people in NI hospitals - with 34 fighting for their lives in ICU.

And there are now 107 patients with confirmed COVID-19 in NI Care Homes.

The Department of Health dashboard also reveals that as of today five of Northern Ireland’s hospitals are operating beyond capacity.

There are only six available beds.

South West Acute Hospital: 112.5%

Mater: 108.3%

Antrim: 105.4%

Ulster: 103.7%

Royal: 102.3%
