Nine people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours bringing the total number of positive tests in NI to 5,799.

According to the latest Department of Health dashboard the latest cases were discovered in -

Ards and North Down (1)

Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon (1)

auseway Coast and Glens (5)

Newry, Mourne and Down (1)

And according to the latest dashboard no one has died in the last 24 hours with coronavirus - leaving the total number of deaths in NI at 556.

As of today there are 10 confirmed COVID-19 inpatients in NI hospitals - and one person with the deadly virus in ICU.

Meanwhile there are now 11 cases of COVID-19 in NI Care Homes - and 13 suspected cases.

On Tuesday, the Irish Department of Health reported no new coronavirus-related deaths and 32 new cases.

The total number of deaths stands at 1,746, with 25,670 cases

Also on Tuesday, the UK’s Department of Health reported 138 additional deaths, bringing total deaths to 44,968
