Coronavirus NI: Six more people die with COVID-19 in last 24 hours - 51 fighting for lives in ICU - 413 hospital beds taken with coronavirus patients - 117 infections in NI Care Homes

That brings total deaths in NI with the virus to 730.

The latest Department of Health dashboard also reveals that there are another 570 new infections with the virus in NI.

That means that 40,179 people have tested positive with COVID-19 here.

And 767,144 tests have been carried out in NI.

There are now 51 patients fighting for their lives in ICU with the virus.

And a total of 486 patients with COVID-19 in our hospitals.

And there are now 117 patients with confirmed COVID-19 cases in NI Care Homes.

The news comes as it has been reported by Press Association that just under 63,000 deaths involving Covid-19 have now occurred in the UK.

A total of 61,257 deaths have so far been registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate, according to the latest reports from the UK’s statistics agencies.

This includes 55,796 deaths in England and Wales up to October 23 (and registered up to October 31), which were confirmed by the ONS on Tuesday.

Since these statistics were compiled, a further 1,428 deaths are known to have occurred in England, plus 67 in Scotland, 90 in Wales and 80 in Northern Ireland, according to additional data published on the Government’s coronavirus dashboard.

Together, these totals mean that so far 62,922 deaths involving Covid-19 have taken place in the UK.
