Two people have died with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the Department of Health have revealed.

That means the death toll in Northern Ireland is now 567.

This number is comprised of 298 men and 268 women.

Another 40 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours - meaning that 624 people have tested positive in the last 7 days.

And according to the statisics 7,908 peple have tested positive for the virus.

According to the latest statistics - in the last 7 days:

- 126 people in the 0-19 age group tested positive for Coronavirus

- 257 people in the 20-39 years age group

- 167 people in the 40-59 age group

- 49 people in the 60-79 age group

- 25 people aged 80-years and over

There are now two people with coronavirus in ICU in Northern Ireland - and 12 confirmed inpatients in local hospitals with the illness.

Meanwhile there are 19 confirmed COVID-19 cases in NI Care Homes - and 5 suspected cases.

Mid and East Antrim: 733 cases

Mid Ulster: 458 cases
