COVID-19 - Two more deaths brings NI death toll to 516 - 8 people remain in Intensive care Units battling virus - 26 test positive

It comes after NI experienced zero deaths in yesterday’s report.

The total number of deaths in NI of people suffering with the virus is now 516.

To date 266 men and 249 women have died with coronavirus.

According to the report 345 people aged 80-years and over have died with COVID-19, 148 people aged 60-79 years, 21 people aged 40-59 years and two others outside those remits.

According to the latest statistics there are 67 confirmed COVID-19 cases in NI Care Homes - and 33 suspected cases of COVID-19.

Yesterday, 845 individuals were tested for the virus, of which 26 were given positive results.

As it stands, a total of 4,663 positive cases have been confirmed in Northern Ireland, and 48,374 individual tests have been carried out.
