The death toll for people with COVID-19 is now 534 in Northern Ireland after another 8 people die with the virus.

According to the latest dashboard another 2 people died in the last 24 hours - and six more people were reported to the Department of Health but died outside that time period.

To date 278 men and 255 women have died with coronavirus.

These figures can be broken down into - 357 people aged 80 years and over - 152 people aged 60-79 - 23 people aged 40-59 and two others outside those age groups.

The latest statistics also reveal that six people remain in ICU wards in NI hospitals fighting for their lives with COVID-19.

There are now 68 confirmed COVID-19 outbreaks in NI Care Homes - and 37 suspected COVID-19 outbreaks.

As of today 4,740 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in Northern Ireland.

Meanwhile another 8 people tested positive for coronavirus in NI in the last 24 hours.
