Death toll reaches 1,931 as 66 people fight virus in ICU

Another nine people have died after testing positive for COVID-19, according to the Department of Health.

That beings the number of deaths in NI to 1,931.

Seven people died within the last 24 hours and another two died outside that time period, according to the dashboard.

So far 1,002 men and 928 women have died after testing positive for the virus.

It also reveals that another 334 people have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

That number rises to 3,015 in the last seven days.

In total 106,687 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in NI.

There are now 585 COVID-19 confirmed inpatients in NI hospitals.

And there are 66 people who are confirmed as suffering with COVID-19 in ICU here.

There are now 98 confirmed COVID-19 outbreaks in NI Care Homes.
