Dollingstown Orange Hall extension plans include new entrance lobby and kitchen
Facilities at LOL 62 Orange Hall, Alfred Terrace, Dollingstown, are set to be significantly enhanced.
Plans include increasing the size of the main hall area, along with the provision of new ancillary accommodation featuring a new entrance lobby, a kitchen, and male and female toilets.
ABC Planning officers noted in their report: “The proposed extension will add approximately 73.84m2 to the overall footprint. It will add approximately 32m2 to the existing hall.
“The side extension will provide toilet facilities and a new kitchen. The scale of the extension is subordinate, and its regular form and massing are sympathetic to the main building.
“Given the established use of the site and the modest scale of the proposed extension, it is considered that there will be no unacceptable impact on the residential amenity of neighbouring properties.
“The proposed development is considered to be in accordance with the appropriate planning policies, and accordingly approval is recommended.”
