Hundreds of people of all ages descended on Ebrington Square for the sold-out 5k fun run. The route was wheelchair/pushchair friendly and dogs were welcome too. All monies raised will go towards funding Cancer Focus Northern Ireland’s breast cancer support services in the Foyle area, which includes counselling, bra and swimwear fitting, and support groups. Recently, the charity also announced that it is working in partnership with the Western Trust to develop the North West Cancer Support Centre at Altnagelvin, made possible thanks to £4.1million in All-Island Funding. The Centre, based on the grounds of the hospital, will revolutionise cancer care by providing expert support, without need for referral, for people and families affected by cancer. Missed Foyle Pink Run 2026? Good news, tickets are now on sale for next year when the event returns to Ebrington Square on Sunday 17 October. Early Bird tickets on sale now at www.cancerfocusni.org
