She was reported missing on Saturday morning but had not been seen since Wednesday (March 3) when she left her home in the vicinity of Valiant Court, Antrim.

Inspector Julian Buchanan is urging anyone who believes they saw the teenager at any time between Wednesday and Saturday to get in touch with police.

But in a GoFundMe appeal started today a friend of Shona’s appeals for funds to take undue pressure off her family at this time.

In a message organiser Matthew Ralston says: “Hi Guys, unfortunately my friend’s 18 year old sister passed away last week in Antrim town.

“We are aiming to help raise the funds to give her the beautiful send off that she deserves, without adding additional financial stress on the family at an already heartbreaking time for them all.

“Any small donation will make the biggest difference so please give anything that you can. Thank you in advance.”
