The post on PSNI Lisburn Facebook page shows a scene in Warren Park in the city.

“I hope this photograph will clearly demonstrate the issues with parking on the footpath,” says the post.

“Wheelchair users require at least 1.25 meters to operate.

“Visually impaired people who use guide dogs also need room for the dog to work effectively.

“For those affected by parking issues please know that we continue to issue tickets where appropriate, we are liaising with Road service, sustrans and a number of other interested parties to produce a solution

“I know this has been ongoing for some time but in the meantime be patient and drive carefully.
