Major NI route reopened after ‘suspected arson attack’ at residential premises - appeal for information as investigation launched

In a statement a PSNI spokesman said the fire has now been extinguished and there are no reports of any injuries at this time.
The statement adds that Detectives in Belfast are investigating “a suspected arson attack at flats on the Lisburn Road in the early hours of Thursday 16th July”.

Hide AdThe statement adds that the PSNI received a report that a fire had been started at flats in a shared building at around 2am on Thursday morning.
“The Lisburn Road was closed whilst NIFRS personnel extinguished the fire but has since re-opened,” it adds.
“The three flats in the building were unoccupied at the time and there have been no reports of any injuries”.
