The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) said the change will be for one year only due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The 2021 showpiece event will now take place from Wednesday, September 22 to Saturday, September 25.

RUAS chief executive Alan Crowe said: ‘It was a huge disappointment for so many when we had to cancel this year’s show due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and so we are pleased to bring Balmoral back for 2021.

“We believe that moving the show to mid-September allows more time for restrictions to be eased, the roll-out of the vaccine to take place and life to get back to normality.”

Mr Crowe added: “We all greatly missed the Balmoral Show this year and cannot wait to get planning for 2021.”
