Noah Donohoe: Fundraiser for youngster has now raised more than £67k - money still pouring in days after funeral

More than £67k has now been raised online for the famliy of tragic Noah Donohoe.

The fundraiser started soon after his body was found in a storm drain on June 27.

Called ‘Noah Donohoe’s Official Funeral Fund’ the fundraiser has so far accumulated more than £67,000.

It claims that ‘a family friend is organising this fund-raiser’.

The message on the page says: “The friends of Noah Donohoe’s family are today devastated to learn of the discovery of Noah’s body.

“As a small measure of support we have set up a Go Fund Me page to assist with the funeral expenses.

“We acknowledge that the family has requested that they are given time and space at this time. You can pledge your support by donating here. Thank you”

Other appeals and fund-raisers for the Donohoe family are also online.

The 14-year-old was last seen close to the Shore Road in north Belfast at the end of June.

Tragically a body was found in the 1km-long drain.

Specialist officers had been searching it since the teenager disappeared.

Supt Muir Clark said he did not believe there was any foul play.

He added: “While we have no official identification, we believe it is the missing teenager Noah Donohoe.

“Our thoughts and sympathies are with Noah’s family and we are continuing to provide support to them at this very difficult and heartbreaking time.

“It is disappointing that I, again, need to comment about people circulating a number of rumours about Noah’s disappearance which are completely without foundation.
