One more death in NI with COVID-19 brings death toll to 523 - 7 more people test positive for coronavirus

Another person has died with coronavirus in Northern Ireland, the Departmant of Health has reported.

In their report - valid at 10am today it says one more person died with the cirus in the last 24 hours.

This brings the death toll in NI to 523.

That includes 269 men and 253 women.

There are now 4,716 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Northern Ireland.

According to the data 348 people aged 80-years and older have died with COVID-19, 150 people aged 60-79 years, 23 people aged 40-59 years and two others outside those age brackets.

The data also reveals that 307 people died in hospital, 184 people in a residential/care home, 16 people in the community and 16 people ‘elsewhere’.

There are currently 8 people with COVID-19 be treated in Intensive Care Units in NI hospitals.

And there are currently 71 confirmed Care Home outbreaks of coronavirus - and 37 suspected COVID-19 outbreaks in NI.
