Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been booed and jeered when he arrived in Northern Ireland.

Mr Johnson arrived at Hillsborough Castle shortly after 1.30pm for talks with Northern Ireland’s five biggest political parties.

He was booed and jeered by about 200 people who had gathered at the castle’s gates as his cavalcade drove in.

Protesters included campaigners for Irish language legislation, anti-Brexit activists and victims’ campaigners objecting to the government’s proposed legislation for dealing with legacy cases from the Troubles.
