PSNI appeal for assistance after high speed car chase | play park fence knocked down | car recovered

Police are appealing for assistance in locating the men who ran off from a car chase in Belfast.

A post on Police Lisburn & Castlereagh Facebook page said it happened around 2.20am on September 3.

The post reads: “Police attempted to stop a green VW Golf estate in Ballybean, Dundonald.

“The vehicle made off through the estate and onto the Newtownards carriageway, before heading in the direction of the icebowl and into Tullycarnet coming to a stop behind the Community Centre off Kinross Avenue - after knocking down the fence of the play park.

“The male occupants then made off on foot into the Abbey Park area.

“We have since recovered the vehicle for examination and our enquires are continuing.

“Do you have CCTV or dash cam that may have footage of these males?

“Do you recognise this vehicle and seen it at any stage throughout the night?

“If you do have any information contact us on 101 and quote reference 127, 03/09/2020”.
