Maggie is a 3 year old Boxer x Bulldog and is an absolute sweetheart. She is looking for a home where someone will have the patience to let her settle as she can be timid and shy with handling to begin with, but once she gets used to people and a new environment she is fantastic company. Maggie can live with dogs and cats as she is doing great with them in her foster home but this is not a requirement. She is having some issues with her skin that will need managed in her new home but she is coping very well with it. Maggie is best suited with no children in the home as she is shy to begin with but children of an older secondary school age may be considered. Photo: Dogs Trust
Merle is a 4-year-old Labrador cross Australian Cattle dog. He is incredibly friendly and is looking for a home with space for a big sofa loving dog. Merle has some dog friends in the foster home that he plays with all the time and has a blast with. He can be more worried on the lead with new dogs but has been very good when off lead in enclosed areas. Merle has lived with cats in his previous home, but we haven’t seen him interact with them in his foster home yet. Older children in his new home would be ideal due to him being very playful in and around the house. Photo: Dogs Trust
Bob didn't have the best start in his life, he was very underweight when he came into us from the pound, but thanks to the love and care he has received from his Foster Carers he has now gained weight and is looking in great condition and ready for his new forever home. Bob is a very strong boy on lead and gets very excitable about passing cars so would need to be walked in areas where there is no passing traffic, our behavioural team are working with Bob to help with this. Bob loves his food and is very bouncy and playful, he is very friendly when he meets people and dogs. After spending some time with dogs at the rehoming centre we do believe that Bob could share his new home with a doggy companion after successful meets. He will need an understanding home that can cope with his size and strength. The home should have a fully secured garden area, he could live with older children around 14 plus but no cats. Bob will need some time to settle down in the home, so someone around most of the time would be best for him. Photo: Dogs Trust
Jai is a beautiful 3 year old active Springer Spaniel with a zest for life. Unfortunately Jai hasn't had an easy life to date. He was found by Dogs Trust in the pound and he was in a very sorry state. Jai's background means that he struggles to build relationships with new people and isn't used to living indoors. For the right person, the journey to build trust and a bond with Jai will be very rewarding. Jai enjoys the company of other dogs and has made lots of doggy friends here at the centre. Jai is so good with other dogs that he is often a helper to new dogs that come in to the care of Dogs Trust. Jai will need to be adopted into a quiet home, where he can get used to living in a home slowly. It would be perfect for Jai if there is a separate area where he can go to relax in the home (such as a utility room). Jai will benefit from a secure outdoor space, the more room to run and play the better! Jai will be best suited to an adult only home and could live with another suitable dog after meets at the Centre. Jai will need multiple meets at the Centre before adoption and the training team will be happy to discuss his training and rehoming plans. Photo: Dogs Trust
