Police appeal over 'brutal and horrific' attack on 19-year-old man

Shortly before 9pm it was reported that a man was being assaulted by two other men at the rear of Kilcooley shops in the Ballynoe Gardens area.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his arms and legs. Police said his injuries are not life threatening, but described the incident as a 'brutal and horrific attack on a young man'.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact them in Bangor Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 1448 of 01/12/17.
