At Thursday night’s virtual meeting, Lurgan Councillor Joe Nelson asked for an update on the £35 million project.
His question was addressed by Strategic Director Mark Parkinson who informed council that, in the current circumstances, no new opening date has been set.
“Contractors started [at the SLLC] two weeks ago, we went through working practices as our number one consideration is health and safety,” said the Director.
“Going through the works programme I think no definitive date [for opening] has been set, as that work is still ongoing.”
