The details of the violation are not known.

The account boasted tens of thousands of followers before it was suspended.

The account satirised politics in Northern Ireland.

In the past, at least two Northern Ireland media outlets reported some of the tweets as coming from the real life DUP MP for North Antrim, Ian Paisley Jnr

Some of the people who followed the account described the suspension as a "crime against humour" and "an awful day for the Province".
