Primary school children's IT equipment stolen

A collection of computer equipment has been stolen from a primary school.

The burglary happened sometime between 3am and 4am on Friday at Cregagh Primary School in east Belfast.

A window and other property was damaged and three Dell laptops and three iPads were taken.

Some of the equipment is was by pupils with impaired hearing.

A small sum of money was also stolen.

The PSNI said in a statement: “Anyone with information regarding this incident, or who saw any suspicious activity in the area of Cregagh Primary School, on Mount Merrion Avenue yesterday evening into the early hours of this morning should contact police on the non-emergency number 101.

“Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
