PSNI officer to be tried over stealing cash
Yvonne Forte, whose address was given c/o Knocknagoney PSNI Station, denies four counts of theft and two counts of misconduct in a public office. The 41-year-old, who at the time of the alleged offending was a constable with the PSNI, appeared at Belfast Crown Court.
The theft charges span a period between September 2009 and July 2014 and amount to a total of £3,254 which the Crown allege was stolen from police exhibits.
The misconduct charges span the same period with Forte charged with removing £760 and £3,025 in cash from a police exhibit.
She was released on continuing bail, with a trial due to proceed in May.
