The organisation said it had presented a £95,000 donation on Wednesday at Brownlow House in Lurgan, adding that it will be used for “a local aftercare scheme for prostate cancer patients”.

Members of the Institution have raised nearly £700,000 for various good causes on a biennial basis since 2002, ranging from domestic charities to Kiwoko Hospital in Uganda and Open Door Ministry in Sudan.

Sovereign Grand Master Millar Farr hailed members’ generosity as “magnificent”, whilst Macmillan said the £95,000 “will make a vital difference to our work”.
