season Dublin and Cork Duty-Free for 2025, offering a special PX Sherry and

Port cask-finished Single Pot Still whiskey, available for purchase in-store or via

click-and-collect at both airports, highlighting festive fruit notes perfect for the

season, according to the distillery’s master distiller Brendan Carty.

Killowen’s limited edition 4-year-old spirit is featured within the The Irish

Whiskey Collection at both airports, with some bottles reserved for the Duty

Free Whiskey Club. The airports also offer other Killowen products such as its

Rum and Raisin Irish Whiskey and Gloria Irish Cream Liqueur.

Dublin is predicting almost two million passengers and Cork almost 200,000

over the Christmas season.

“This a massive boost for our small business at a time when many thousands of

visitors and home-comers will be passing through the two major airports,” says

Brendan, founder of the small distillery in the Mournes in 2017.

Killowen was formed by Brendan to revive traditional Irish distilling techniques

especially of single malt and blended whiskeys. It works closely with Two

Stacks, a successful whiskey and blending and bonding operator nearby in

Newry.

The presentation at the airports in the Republic follows the innovative

company’s recent success in exporting a novel Irish cream liqueur to Canada.

“The exclusive promotions at Dublin and Cork airports are another significant

development for us in markets outside Northern Ireland,” continues Brendan, an

architect by profession who turned a love of all things Irish whiskey into one of

Northern Ireland’s most dynamic distilleries. “It’s a marvellous way to end one of

most successful years since launching an initial gin in 2019,” he adds.

A regular winner in the influential Irish Whiskey Awards, Killowen is steadily

developing its sales outside the island of Ireland.
