Shock in Co Tyrone after quad bike death

Sympathy has been expressed to the family of tragic 24-year-old Keith Robinson who died after a quad bike accident in Fivemiletown in the early hours.

Mr Robinson, a mechanic, who was from the Fivemiletown area died after the collision on the Aghintain Road.

UUP Councillor Victor Warrington said news of his death had “greatly saddened the local community”.

He had been a mechanic in Fannins garage in Clogher.

“I knew Keith, his sister and his mum and dad because it is such a close community,” he said.

“I didn’t know them well, but I knew them to speak to. The wee guy was a fanatic about cars.

“I want to express my deep condolences to his family.

“It helps us put life in perspective.”

UUP MP Tom Elliott, who also expressed his condolences to the Robinson family, said: “This is a terrible tragedy involving a quad bike. “People out in the rural commuity use quad bikes for farm use and general use and it is just really concerning that we have another fatality.

“This is a huge blow to the family and the family circle. My Sympathies are with them at this time.”
