Six-vehicle crash caused big delays
Six vehicles were involved in a collision on a motorway leading to long tailbacks, said police.
The accident on Saturday took place on the M2 southbound between Sandyknowes roundabout and Greencastle sometime before 2.30pm on Saturday.
The Roads Service said that the crash caused tailbacks all the way to the Bellvue bridge area.
The incident happened just as the PSNI warned drivers to beware hail storms on Saturday.
On Sunday morning, the Roads Service also issued a weather warning, saying: “Frost forecast. Salting of main routes has been carried out. Road users should take care particularly when travelling on untreated routes.”
