Storm warning: disruptions across NI this morning

“Please give yourself extra time for your commute to allow for the surface water, wind and rain and get there safely,” it said,

“Lashing rain and strong winds make for difficult driving conditions this morning. Please leave extra time for your journey, slow down and keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.”

Trafficwatch NI said that from 6.40am today, the M1 between Junctions 12 and 13 is open, despite other media reporting it closed.

It also reported a tree is down at the B107 at Magheragall on the Ballinderry Road at Lisburn.

BBC NI Travel said the tree is down about being 1/4 mile before School Lane, heading away from Lisburn.

NIE Networks also advised that power is back on in Cookstown BT80 area.

The BBC has reported that there is debris on roads across Northern Ireland.

:: A tree is down and obstructing Glen Road near Ballystockart Road in the Comber area.

:: In Banbridge area there are reports of low hanging tree branches on A50 Castlewellan Rd at cross roads with Drumneath Rd / Ballievey Rd; passable but an issue for high sided vehicles

:: Trampoline on main A50 road between Banbridge and Castlewellan, but closer to Castlewellan - “extra care if in the area this morning”.

:: In Dundrod a tree is blocking the countrybound lane at the Pitts on the Dundrod Circuit.

:: In Co Antrim there are long delays on the A26 Lisnevenagh Road towards Dunsilly Roundabout M22, J1 and M22 Belfast bound from Dunsilly

:: Reports of low overhanging branches at Newtownbreda Rd near School, at Castlereagh in South Belfast

:: There are queues on the M22 at J1 and emergency services are present

:: There had been a tree down at M2 J6 Antrim Area Hospital but this has now been removed - still debris on motorway but passable

:: The Coleraine to Limavady mountain road is open for drivers this morning

:: On the A7 Belfast Road from Carryduff to Saintfield there is lots of excess surface water with puddles and spray making driving extremely tricky

:: At BlackSkull in Co Down a a tree is down on the Mullafernagh Road near Banbridge, just off the A1.

:: Traffic lights are out at Trooperslane junction with A2 Carrickfergus due to a powercut.

:: A power failure in the Carrickfergus-Greenisland Area has left a number of traffic lights out of action; approach with care and be prepared to stop or give way :: In north Down a there is a road traffic collision at the Crawfordsburn Rd and Ballysallagh Rd junction - expect delays. This could impact on Dundonald and::

:: A tree has been removed however long delays on Co Antrim on the A26 Lisnevenagh Rd towards Dunsilly Roundabout M22 at J1 and M22 Belfast bound from Dunsilly

:: In Co Antrim of A26 Lisnevenagh Rd, there is a tree Down Woodgreen, Kells

:: In Co Antrim a tree is partially obstructing Loughamore Rd, the back road from Templepatrick to Antrim, are passable with care.

:: Over flowing drains causing some flash flooding on the Galgorm Road in Ballymena between Ballymena Academy and Cambridge house.

:: In Lisburn there is a report of traffic signal head facing wrong direction at Grosvenor Rd / Hillsborough Rd junction - approach with extra care until we can get this

:: In north Down and Bangor area, a collision on the Crawfordsburn Rd and Ballysallagh Rd junction; the incident continues and passable with care

:: In Belfast, a there was a road traffic collision M1 citybound after J3 Blacks Road. Vehicles have been moved to the hard shoulder but there are delays back to M1 Lisburn Motorway Services at Ballyskeagh

:: A tree is is blocking the cycle/foot path at Dee St lights in Belfast

:: At the C297 Upper Ballynahinch Rd, near Golden Pheasant, Annahilt, one lane is closed

:: There are fallen treees at the Ballinderry Rd near School Lane’ Lisburn at the B7, 26 Burren Rd Dromara; B178 Comber Rd, Hillsborough. Roads are also closed and B103 Ballyskeagh Rd nearr golf driving range

:: Two roads have reopened after fallen trees; the B38 Hannastown Road, Lisburn and the C13 Lough Rd at Glenavy

:: B104 Ballinderry Rd nr School Lane, Lisburn- B7 26 Burren Rd #Dromara - B178 Comber Rd #Hillsborough - all fallen trees - Roads Closed and B103 Ballyskeagh Rd nr golf driving range, road closed (09:37)

:: At Bangor the accident on the Crawfordsburn Rd / Ballysallagh Rd junction - incident continues - and is passable with care
