Three cars petrol bombed in west Belfast

Three cars were set on fire with petrol bombs in west Belfast during the early hours of this morning, the police have said.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for information following the criminal damage of three cars in the Norglen Drive area of West Belfast in the early hours of Monday 6 February.

“At approximately 3.30am, police received a report that three cars were on fire in the area. The damage was caused by petrol bombs.”

A Sergeant Hegarty said: “I would ask anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact police at Woodbourne Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 107 of 06/02/17. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
