Bomb alert shuts down main Londonderry bridge
A bomb alert is currently underway in central Londonderry.
Both decks of the double-decker Craigavon Bridge connecting the east and west sides of the city have been shut down.
The PSNI said: “Motorists are advised that both decks of the Craigavon Bridge in Derry/Londonderry are currently closed due to an ongoing security alert following the discovery of a suspicious object this evening.
“Diversions are in place, motorists are advised to seek alternative routes for their journeys.”
There are no further details at time of writing.
