Motorists advised to expect delays after Belfast collision

Road users are advised that an earlier road traffic collision on the Upper Lisburn Road has been cleared, but delays remain in the area.

Police officers and members of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) were tasked to the incident at Finaghy Crossroads this morning (Wednesday).

Traffic was diverted leaving Belfast via Finaghy Road North and Finaghy Road South as the Upper Lisburn Road was not passable for a time.

Providing an update, a Department for Infrastructure (DfI) spokesperson said: “PSNI advise that an earlier road traffic collision on the Upper Lisburn Road at the junction with Finaghy Road North and Finaghy Road South has now all been cleared, but some delays remain in the area.”
