Motorists asked to avoid NI road after earlier collision as ‘conditions still icy’

Police are advising motorists to still avoid a north Belfast road which had been closed after a collision - as ‘conditions are very icy in that area’.

A post on TrafficwatchNI says: “NorthBelfast: PSNI advise an earlier Road Traffic Collision on the White Brae Lane between Ligoneil Road and Crumlin Road has been cleared.

“PSNI advise the Road conditions are very icy in that area and ask road users to take alternate route.”

Earlier a post on PSNI North Belfast Twitter says: “Officers on scene dealing with a Road Traffic Collision in the White Brae area of Ligoneil/Crumlin Road.

“Road conditions are very icy in that area and are going to be closed for the foreseeable.

“Please avoid the area and take alternate routes. Thank You!”
