New flight route from Belfast to popular holiday destination

Aer Lingus Regional has announced a new service from George Best Belfast City Airport to the popular UK holiday destination, Newquay.

Aer Lingus Regional has announced a new service from George Best Belfast City Airport to the popular UK holiday destination, Newquay.

Operated by Stobart Air, the three-times weekly flights to Cornwall Airport Newquay will commence from June 28 and conveniently connect passengers with Cornwall and the south of England.

Ellie McGimpsey, aviation development manager at Belfast City Airport, said: “As a staycation favourite, Newquay has always been a popular destination served from Belfast City Airport and we are delighted that Aer Lingus Regional is going to re-establish this service since it was left vacant by Flybe.

“The quick flight times and direct connectivity makes it the ideal choice for a getaway closer to home.”
