PSNI traffic alert as major roadworks take place in NI town

Major road works in an NI town has led the PSNI to issue a public notice warning traffic of diversions.

It is understood roadworks relate to an upgrade of the sewage system in Portadown.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Motorists are advised that Thomas Street, Portadown is closed between Carleton Street and Market Street due to ongoing roadworks taking place.

“Please seek alternative routes.”
