The Northern Ireland postcodes with the most dangerous drivers

Dozens of motorists with 12 or more penalty points are still allowed on Northern Ireland’s roads, government figures show

Drivers are normally banned when they hit 12 points, but a legal loophole means a court can decide a driver should not face the usual punishment if there are mitigating circumstances.

Figures from the Department for Infrastructure obtained by the JPIMedia Data Unit reveal the number of drivers with 12 or more points by postcode district – the digits that come before the space in a full postcode.

There are 82 drivers still on Northern Ireland’s roads, with the worst offender clocking up a whopping 24 points to their name.
