Tributes to baby Sofia Parke
Tributes have been paid to brave little Sofia Parke from Londonderry who passed away in Birmingham children's hospital yesterday.
Little Sofia who was just two years-old had battled illness in her short life, being born with only one half of her heart developed.
Her mother Bronagh spoke on many occasions about the joy and happiness that Sofia had brought to their lives.
Today a crowdfunding page set up to help the family with funeral costs had already raised almost £1,800.
In her short life Sophia had four open heart surgeries and a pacemaker fitted.
She was rushed to Belfast hospital on her second birthday and was later rushed to Birmingham children’s hospital where she passed away on life support.
Tributes left on social media included: “Sorry to hear about Sofia, in the arms of the angels.”
