Tricolour erected on crane in Coleraine

A tricolour has been erected on a crane at a building site in Coleraine.

In a statement the PSNI said they have ‘received a number of reports about the erection of flags in the Pates Lane area’

The crane is located at the top of Pate’s Lane on a building site at Hazelbank Road.

PSNI Inspector, Peter Duncan said: “Officers continue to work closely with community representatives to resolve the issues associated with flags in the area.”

DUP MLA Adrian McQuillan has condemend the incident.

He said that the flags ‘do nothing for community relations’ in the area.
