Two men charged with murder after fatal assault

Two men been charged with murder and a fatal assault on a man in Portaferry 11 days ago.

Police said the two men, aged 19 and 28, are due to appear at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court later today.

Ryan Macrae, 32, was attacked at Church Street shortly before 1am on Sunday 14 October.

Mr Macrae was treated in hospital but died on Tuesday night.
