Two remain critical as Ballymena road victim named

Two people remain in a critical condition following a Co Antrim road traffic collision that claimed the life of a 50-year-old man.

Five people were reported injured as a result of the crash at Collin Road in Ballyclare on Monday night.

Police said a man, woman, two girls and a boy were taken to hospital.

The incident - which took place around 7pm - involved a VW Amarok, a VW Golf and a Vauxhall Vectra.

All three vehicle were removed from the scene on Tuesday. The dead man has been named locally as Kenny Wright from Ballymena.

His brother Sherman Wright said via Facebook “It is with great sadness that today we hope to receive the deceased body of my father’s son and our brother Kenny.”
