Sarah Jardine, 48, of Nurture Fit, said: “I’m used to doing one-to-one personal training and classes where you can see people. This is all completely new to me, I’ve had a bit of a crash course on how to use Zoom.

“As of this week I’ll be streaming my classes online. Prior to that I’d posted a couple of workouts on Instagram and Whatsapped videos to people I currently teach.”

Sarah has been a personal trainer for nine years and had been about to open a studio in Hillsborough.

Her classes include pilates, high intensity training and circuits: “These are simple work-outs you can do with no equipment. If the work-out needs dumbbells and people don’t have them I suggest using two tins of baked beans.”

She said: “I’m not charging anyone for the first month. I would rather try and help people locally, because everybody is in the same boat.

“We’re all stuck at home, it can be really bad on your mental health.”
