Royal Victoria Hospital features in new Top Trumps game to raise money for NHS
This week, Top Trumps launched ‘Hospitals Top Trumps’ in an effort to raise money for the NHS.
The pack features 30 hospitals from across the UK, scoring each hospital in the categories of ‘year opened’, ‘number of beds’, ‘fame’ and ‘rainbow rating’.

St Thomas’ Hospital, where PM Boris Johnson was successfully treated for Covid-19, features as one of the 30 cards.
Highest in the ‘Rainbow Rating’ section is Great Ormond Street Hospital, which has a rainbow theme throughout.
But arguably Britain’s most crucial hospital is a moving one, not a permanent structure or even semi-permanent as in the case of the Nightingale.

Royal Victoria Hospital was opened in 1797 and has 1,317 beds according to its card. It gets a fame rating of one and a rainbow rating of five.
An interesting fact listed on the card is that RVH was the first public building in the world to have air conditioning.
Top Trumps ‘Britain at its Best: Hospitals’ is available for £5 exclusively at winningmoves.co.uk and comes with a second deck – Key Workers.
