The track, Making Our Way to Paris, has been put together over several months by the London Northern Ireland Supporters’ Club (London NISC) and released in aid of the NI Cancer Fund for Children.

Chiswick-based Fermanagh man Richard Cathcart conceived the idea and wrote the lyrics, while other London NISC members have given up their spare time to take part in the recording, design the cover artwork and help with the marketing.

Multi-talented Portadown-native Chris Hanvey, who is also a member of the Covent Garden-based club now living in South London, runs shotsbyhanvey.com – a fashion, film and music photography and videography business - and is the brains behind the entertaining video.

Pleased with the final result of his volunteer effort, Chris said: “I joined the London NISC last year and have attended several events at their base of Philomena’s Bar in Covent Garden. It’s wonderful to be amongst fellow fans and familiar accents in central London, and I even got to see my team Portadown play Glentoran in the Irish Cup Final!

“When the club put out a call for help for this fun and exciting project for Cancer Fund for Children, I jumped at the chance to get involved.”

Originally from Coleraine, London NISC chairman Neal Anderson added: “We proudly represent all Northern Ireland backgrounds, and have a diverse mix of talent within our membership. The release of the ‘Making Our Way to Paris’ single reflects that, and the brilliant video that Chris has put together for us is the icing on the cake.
