WATCH: Free beer served up to runners DURING Belfast City Marathon
Runners and spectators alike couldn't believe their eyes when free beers were handed out at today's Belfast City Marathon.
On the hottest day of 2017 so far, the cold beverages were served up to thirsty runners on a gruelling stretch of Antrim Road - and there were a few takers!
This footage, captured by Belfast man Jordan Millar, has gone viral on Facebook with close to 100,000 views since it was posted earlier today.
The runners were roundly applauded and greeted with the strains of the theme from 'Rocky' as they passed the water stop with a difference. And cheers went up when some competitors just couldn't resist temptation!
